Did I learn from them? Absolutely! Did I grow from them? Immensely!
But ....
I still found myself feeling disempowered, almost resentful. And certainly not motivated to continue to integrate these newfound changes into my life consistently.
That’s when I discovered the power of choosing to “Design My Day”.
Tony Robbins says that we are either pushed or pulled to change. We can push ourselves with consequences (the stick), or we can be pulled forward by a dream (the carrot). The pull toward a vision is more sustainable—and far more enjoyable.
I used to set big goals—meditate five times a week, journal daily, hit the gym religiously. But no matter how much I wanted to follow through, I found myself resisting. The very things meant to bring me joy started feeling like obligations. I felt stuck.
Then, I asked myself a different question: “What am I willing to do?”
At first, the answers felt small—signing up for yoga but spending most of the class in child’s pose, journaling only when I truly felt like it. But something shifted. I realized I didn’t need more rules; I needed more freedom. I began designing my day with intention, starting with a clear vision of what I truly wanted.
Through Design My Day with Mindful Mornings, I built a system that worked:
Bullet list
Dream first—get clear on the vision.
Set micro goals—small, achievable steps.
Stay accountable—align actions with intentions.
